Update from Administrator – May 8, 2020

As you probably have heard by now, per the Commonwealth’s guidelines, we reached out to the National Guard to conduct testing of our residents and all employees for COVID-19. Typically, we would test our residents on our own and then send off to the state lab and have our employees see their own physicians for all testing. However, the Commonwealth has set up a program that they have offered to nursing homes for expedited testing. In… conjunction with our local health department.

Plymouth Rehabilitation & Health Care Center may make the news or some headlines but want to reassure everyone this testing will be conducted at the facility in a calm and orderly fashion. Many facilities in Massachusetts have done the same throughout state and we appreciate the state’s help with this testing.

More than 300 senior care centers throughout the Commonwealth, have had residents in their centers that have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. We follow all CDC and Massachusetts DPH guidelines procedures for testing residents and employees who show signs and symptoms of COVID-19. As of today, all COVID-19 testing results have been negative. We will update everyone on the results of the overall testing once the results come back. Individual positive results will result in a change of condition call to families.

We would like to thank all the families for their continued support and all our employees for their continued commitment and dedication to all our residents.
